Hello! Happy to meet you!

I’m a little obsessed with helping people discover new ways of working that feel easier, more joyful, and fully human. With a PhD in Women’s Studies (Social Research) from the University of York, I began my training career as part of the founding committee of the award-winning How to Thrive and Survive in Your PhD initiative. That early work showed me the power of putting the human first in every kind of training interaction. I’ve been hooked ever since.

My career has spanned four influential sectors – media, fashion, academia, and religion/non-profilt – giving me a deep understanding of the diverse needs and challenges people face in different workplaces. I believe we’re human beings before we are researchers, consultants or leaders, and that value sits at the heart of everything I deliver.

I have a strong passion for helping individuals and teams to enhance their wellbeing at work, productivity and work-life harmony. Since 2021, I’ve been designing and delivering workshops on resilience and joyful, feel-good productivity, supporting people to work with much greater intentionality and deep focus, instead of overwhelm and burnout. My approach is collaborative and peer-led: I don’t lecture; I facilitate. I work from the belief that true sustainable learning and growth happen in community – when people bring their insights to one another.

Public speaking has also played a key role in my career. After winning the People’s Choice Award at the UK National Three Minute Thesis competition 2018, I discovered a love for sharing ideas with impact and for helping others do the same. Since then, I’ve trained countless researchers and professionals to distil their complex work into compelling presentations that land, engage and inspire action.

I’m also an experienced producer of virtual trainings and events (on Zoom and Teams), which means I know exactly what it takes to keep people engaged and interacting online. That hands-on experience helps me design sessions that feel dynamic and human, even through a screen.

When I’m not running workshops, you’ll probably find me under a barbell, waving hello to all the dogs or curating the perfect angsty 90s playlist. I’m a British-born Malaysian who grew up in international schools, spent half my life between the UK and Southeast Asia and now call Yorkshire home – which means I’m always hunting for the perfect Yorkshire pudding as much as the perfect laksa. Personality-wise, think Frankie Bergstein meets Amy Farrah-Fowler, with Tina Belcher in the background going ‘uhhhhhh’: a little messy, a full heart, and always wanting to make things better for the people around me.
