What’s inside the Messy Mentorship
The Messy Mentorship is informed by and shaped around the signature Positive Intelligence ® program, with additional 1-to-1 and group coaching support from me. Here’s exactly what you can expect:
The PQ ® program and app
You’ll have access to the full signature 6-week PQ® program, run through a specially developed app.
The PQ® app
Access all weekly trainings and daily practices, track your progress and interact with fellow coaching pod members through the PQ® app.
Weekly training video (1 hour)
New training videos are unlocked each week to introduce you to the theme of the week. Each theme forms the focus of your daily practice for the week.
Daily practice (15 minutes across the day)
You’ll receive prompts via the app to do 2-3 minute guided practices across the day. These practices total about 15 minutes each day, and you’ll have the option to do more/longer practices if you wish.
Community support
You’ll be coached alongside a pod of no more than 5 people for accountability, connection and friendship. There will be a group chat for you to share and connect with each other in between weekly group coaching calls.
Weekly group coaching
One weekly 60-minute group coaching call with the full pod where I will guide discussion on the week’s theme and practice. Sharings and reflections help to deepen practice and spark new perspectives.
1-to-1 coaching
Join me on 3 x 45-minute coaching calls, scheduled in Weeks 1, 4 and 8 of the program where we will check in on how your practice is going and deep dive any specific issues.
Option: continue practice for up to one year
At the close of the program, you’ll have the option to continue deepening your practice via the PQ Grow program for up to 12 months. Grow is entirely self-paced via the app.
The 8 week programme
Week 1 – Setting up for success
- 1-to-1 coaching call with me, your coach, to get crystal clear about your coaching goals
- Meet your fellow pod members in a group coaching call
- Take the PQ® Saboteur Assessment to learn which Saboteurs are getting in the way of your happiness and success
Week 2 – Begin your mental fitness journey with Self-Command
- Learn about the two very different parts of your brain, and how they activate either fearful anxieties or calm success
- Learn to shift your attention from self-sabotaging thoughts to calm, collected self-command
- Start practising PQ reps – a highly effective method for instant calm
Week 3 – 4 – Meet and intercept the Saboteurs
- Meet the Saboteurs; begin to identify and expose their lies, limiting beliefs and damage
- Learn how to intercept the Saboteurs every time they hijack your thoughts, actions and feelings; and start to quiet their influence
- Gain increasing control over stress-inducing, self-destructive thoughts
Week 5 – 7 – Meet your Sage
- Learn how to activate the part of your brain that is most peaceful, resourceful, creative and loving
- Begin practising the Sage perspective that every challenge can be converted into a powerful gift or opportunity
- Start to counter your negative Saboteur-generated thoughts with the Sage powers of Empathise, Explore, Innovate, Navigate and Activate.
Week 8 – Step into your best self
- Final 1-to-1 and group coaching call with me to consolidate all that you’ve learnt in the PQ programme
- Apply the PQ practice to a current challenge so you can find clear solutions or take inspired action straight away
- Begin to consider how your practice so far can prepare you to meet future challenges with clarity, ease and joy
Group and/or personal coaching
- Weekly group coaching call with your pod, facilitated by me (time and day to be agreed on with the group): we will discuss the theme of the week, I will help to answer any questions you may have about the learning content, and offer coaching for any issues you are working through
- 1-to-1 coaching call: I meet you individually for 3 coaching calls on Weeks 1, 4 and 8, to support you with intention/goal setting and to check-in with you on your practice and progress. These calls will also provide opportunities for closer coaching on any specific challenges you are dealing with.
- Group chat: You’ll also have the opportunity to connect and chat with your fellow pod-members in between coaching calls on a group chat via the PQ® app.

Hello!
I’m Dr Jamie Pei (but just call me Jamie!) – your Messy Mentorship and PQ coach.
I bring a ton of diverse working experiences with me – a PhD, public speaking, newspaper and magazine journalism, academic training, PhD and life coaching, and even, for a very brief time, a stint in the corporate world.
But what I think is more important is my experience as a messy, flawed human being: lifelong body-image issues, including an eating disorder; intimate experience of working and living under abusive and coercive control (and eventually leaving); healing from perfectionism and controlling, compulsive behaviours.
But I have come to believe that the messiest moments of this very messy life can also offer us the richest gifts and opportunities – to make even deeper, more loving relationships; to discover the very best of our talents and skills; to find new ways of living with even more ease, clarity and joy.
Now, I’m proud to say that I live a slow but deeply pleasurable life, full of ease, play and satisfying, fulfilling activity every single day.
