Self care could look like this… or this… or even this…

I saw self-care as a passive, weak, not-doing thing that would get me nowhere. Have you ever had similar thoughts too? Or felt guilt or shame around taking time out to care for yourself and tend to your needs? As I’ve been ‘forced’ to slow down, I’ve been thinking back on the many ways that self-care can look like.

You might understand how deeply uncomfortable it can feel to be catapulted into spaces where you feel you have to be ‘on display’ or ‘performing’ a personality that just doesn’t feel good. BUT… how about if we just didn’t respond to those bullshit confidence imperatives?
